A friend recommended this place, place was clean. We got there around 1pm for lunch, there were a few tables there. Service was prompt, our water glasses were always filled.
The pancake was very good, its a little from other Vietnamese restaurant. The outer skin was more thick and crispier … but I like that. Sauce was good.
I ordered the rice pot my friend recommended. Maybe I have high expectation, but the rice pot wasn’t what I think. I don’t even think its an authentic Vietnamese dish.
It served in a metal hot pot, filled with veggies and meat (or seafood) with brown sauce. The dish was like any other dish you get in Chinese restaurant. Only thing special was the crispy rice. I am suspecting they coated the metal pot with lots of oil and place cooked rice inside … let it cook til crispy. Anyhow, I am not impressed.
I will probably go out back, but not for the Special Hot Pot Rice … maybe to try out their Pho (Vietnamese Noodle).
