I know this place for while, I’ve been hearing from friends about their Shaved Snow. So here we are, our target was the shaved snow. We were here on a Saturday night … oh boy, be prepare to wait. This place is small and busy, we waited almost 1 hour to be seated. Setting was pretty cute, wood table and benches, so you could be very close to your next neighbor.
We ordered two dishes 3 Cup Chicken 三杯雞 and Bitter Melon with Salted Egg 苦瓜炒咸蛋. Both dishes were very good, but portion were a bit small for its price.
3 Cup Chicken were extremely flavorful, chicken was tender, aroma of garlic, ginger and the hint of basil flavor was excellent.
Bitter Melon with Salted Egg 苦瓜炒咸蛋. BF loves everything with Salted Egg. Dish was good, the bitter melon wasn’t too melon, which I enjoyed. I wish the salted egg flavor would be a bit more, because I can only taste very little salted egg yolk. Again, portion small. OKAY, dessert coming ….
We ordered a small Mango Shaved Snow to share, about $5.50. Lots of mango chucks, all were soft and sweet. Loved the sweet milk on top, the snow were like ribbon (the way it should be), very smooth. Love it!
