PHO HUYNH HIEP 2 (KEVIN’S NOODLE HOUSE) – OUTER SUNSET, CA

Whenever we are in SF area, we tend to like to stop by Outer Sunset for dinner. This past weekend we were around the Ocean Beach area, and craving for Pho for dinner.

After a little browsing around, decided to try out Pho Huynh Hiep 2 AKA Kevin’s Noodle House. This place was clean and fully packed. Turn around time was pretty good, we only waited 10mins for a table.

We ordered:

Dac Biet (Medium) special combo with thin slice of steak, brisket, flank, tendon & tripe – really disappointed, the beef broth was bland, not much dept, taste water down compare to other Vietnamese place, really lack of that beefy soup flavor.

Bun Tom Thit Nuong grilled shrimp & pork with veggies and vermicelli – portion was small 😦 normally I couldn’t finish this plate at the normal place I go to in Milpitas. And sadly I finished this plate and still have room for dessert! The fish sauce was nearly water, no hint of sourness or spicy-ness?

Dac Biet - Special combo beef noodle. Soup was water down, bland.
