Been very busy with my work project, I am back for a short review.
We were craving for Taiwanese breakfast one day and found Chef Wu Chinese Restaurant 歡喜樓 online and decided to give it a try. Chef Wu is kind of out of place in this area, I wouldn’t imagine there is a Taiwanese restaurant in this area. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our breakfast for the most part. Plenty of parking.
Just me and hubby, so we ordered few things to try.
Onion & Egg Pancake 蔥花蛋餅 – very disappointed, the skin/dough was very thick, egg has no taste … whole thing was very bland.
Fried Chinese Donut 油條 – nicely done, crispy fried and served hot.
Salty Soy Milk 鹹豆漿 – not bad, not overly salty (I’ve tried some place that were loaded with salt!), right amount of spicy-ness.
Sweet Soy Milk Cold 凍甜豆漿 – perfect, one of the better sweet soy milk I’ve tried. Just the right amount of sweetness and soy bean taste.
Taiwanese Glutinous Rice Rolls 台式糯米飯糰 – rice was cooked a little hard for my taste, but still good … it has the fried doughnut, persevered veggie and pork floss.
Overall, not a bad place to visit again if we were craving for Taiwanese breakfast.
