LOS ANGELES TRIP (DAY 4) – CAFE BEAU SOLEIL – BRUNCH, NEWPORT BEACH, CA

Finally back in LA, we stayed at our friend’s place, a very nice neighborhood. He suggested us a brunch place at Fashion Island, Cafe Beau Soleil. Located right outside the high-end Fashion Island outdoor shopping center.

Cafe Beau Soleil – a very cute European vibe cafe.

To start with on this gloomy and cool day, we ordered the French Onion Soup – soup was good, not overly salty, abunduce of onion flavor … I do wish there was more cheesssseeee!

I was still pretty full from last night’s meal. So I opted for a salad – Our Niçoise – a nice bowl of salad with tuna, anchovies, tomatoes, romaine lettuce – the light wine vinaigrette dressing compliments well … oh my, the tuna was huge, I couldn’t even finish it.

Hubby and my friend both ordered savory crepes – both dishes looked about the same, of course the main ingredients were different. All savory crepes are made with organic buckwheat flour.

Hubby ordered Parisian Farmer Savory Crepe – its basically chicken, spinach, tomato and cheese creamy sauce, taste its not bad … but kidda pricey for this crepe.

My friend ordered the Lox Savory Crepe – smoked salmon crepe. I tired a little bit, its a pretty good crepe, very light and flavorful.
