Dinner time! Actually I was still pretty full from the brunch, but part of the LA trip was eat, eat, eat ….!!!
Apparently Capital Noodle Bar targets younger generation with a hip and clean design. The tables are set up communal style with long wooden table and benches. If they get busy, you will be right next to your neighbor.
We started with Crispy Tofu – served piping hot! Very nice golden color, crispy outside and silky smooth inside!
Apparently the Hainan Chicken is very popular and that’s what I ordered – skinless & boneless chicken white meat, with lightly fragrant chicken stock rice, pickled veggies. It comes with 3 dipping sauce, the usual ginger onion, sweet chili, and sweet soy sauce. The chicken was very moist, but the sauces need some work, I thought it was a little bland on the sauces.
Capital’s Filet Mignon Cubes – filet mignon cubes with veggies, tomato rice, salt & pepper dipping sauce. Beef was very tender and juicy, the rice has a light tomato flavors.
My friend ordered Thai Basil Spaghetti – spaghetti is al-dente with a hint of basil flavor, its more toward sweet flavor.
