Good by Paris, Hello London! This London trip is partly work, so I didn’t visit many tourist attraction. I am going to combine some days together.
Of course we took EuroStar, a very nice and comfortable 2.5 hour train ride. It was 4pm when we got back to the hotel, so rest a little and went to a local recommend Fish and Chips place.
The Britannia in Kingsington – the front was actually a bar, in the back was the dinning restaurant. We had a absolutely fun waiter, I really enjoyed his jokes!
Fish & Chips – very good fish and chips, light and crispy batter, juicy and flaky haddock. The chips were hot and crispy!
My co-worker ordered the Bangers & Mash, looks good too.
We called it a day.
Next morning, we had some business meeting in Caffe Nero, I had a latte and apricot pastry – I am obsess with apricot lately!
After the meeting, we went shop around on Kings street and had lunch at Manicomio – Poco Cafe. This is a very little restaurant, pretty packed during lunch time.
It was cold and I need some hot Green Tea.
Light lunch, Yellow Fin Tuna with Avocado, Mango, Chili, Lemon Dressing – very light and refreshing lunch.
Another great pastry shop Paul Pâtisserie – everything in the shop looks so good. Of course my eyes were on the huge macaron!
HUGE Pistachio Macaron – this thing was huge, almost cover my palm. It was really really good!!! The right crispy and chewy texture.
We had a group dinner at The Britannia again tonight. I just had Smoked haddock kedgeree and poached duck egg – it was a little heavy to my liking, but not bad.
More tomorrow …
