We came here on a early Friday evening, place was starting to get busy. I wanted some good spicy-numbing-food. This place is not bad.
We ordered Szechuan Spicy Fish Filet 水煮魚 – piping hot with a layer of spicy oil, plenty of fish filet. It was medium spicy with numbing pepper corn, which was good. There was bean sprouts, vermicelli, mushrooms and other veggies at the bottom. We do enjoy this dish.
Second dish we had was Pork with Garlic Chili Sauce 蒜泥白肉 – just as good. This was an appetizer cold dish, but we treat it like one of the main dish. Pork was sliced very thin, a generous portion of raw mashed garlic on top, very garlic-ky! Underneath was some veggies to absorb the chili sauce. It was a pretty good dish too.
Finally, to easy our palate a little … we had to order some non-spicy vegetables. We ordered Fungus Mushroom Chinese Yam 木耳炒淮山藥 – I am not a big fan of the Chinese Yam, just too slimmy to me, but it’s supposed to be good for us. Anyways, vegetables dish was very light 🙂
Pretty crowded as we leave, I don’t mind coming here again to try out the spicy chicken.
