COOKING PAPA 好煮意 – FOSTER CITY, CA (BAY AREA)

Don’t expect service here, but you won’t be disappointed with the food. Food was very good. This place gets crowded on weekends, expect a 30-45 mins wait. The lake view was beautiful, we took a stroll while waiting.

3 of us came here for dinner on a Saturday. I particularly came here for the Sugar Egg Puff (Sai Yong 沙翁) – never tried it before.

Braised Beef Brisket with Turnip – good, hot sizzling clay pot, but very little beef brisket 😦

Pan Fried Oyster with Soy Sauce 4pcs minimum order – MUST ORDER! It was super delicious, oysters were big and plump, well cooked with little crispy edges. $2.50 per piece, if you have a large group, its good to share.

Garlic Pea Sprout – we saw the next table ordered this … it was good portion, so we ordered the same! It was big portion, very hot, very happy with this veggie.

Hong Kong Style Egg Puff 沙翁 – another must order! You will need to order 10-15 mins in advance, because this is made to order. It was piping hot to our table, lightly crispy fried outside, soft and eggy inside! 4 huge egg puffs for $3.50. My first time eating this, it was so good, I want more!
