I’ve been to this restaurant a few times, definitely one of my favorite little French bistro in San Francisco. Chez Maman do not take reservation, so get there early sign up, and walk around to kill time, its a little nice neighborhood.
Beef Tartare with Quail Egg – we ordered a small, but portion was decent. Perfect balance of capers and Dijon mustard, love it!
Escargot with parsley, butter and white wine – my favorite dish!! The sauce was very good, we literally finished the basket of bread dipping the parsley, white wine sauce!
Complimentary Bread – nice and warm, we finished the whole basket of bread dipping the escargot sauce.
French Onion Soup – I was kind of disappointed, the cheese was not as golden nor crisp as other places.
Assiette de Merguez with Harissa – I don’t remember exactly how this taste like, not a big fan of lamb.
Flat Iron Steak with French Fries – steak was perfectly cooked, tender! My fav flat iron steak!
Two locations, we always go to Chez Maman West. Definitely worth go visit.
