Whenever I am in town, my family always go to My Place for dinner. Food was always hot and good portion. They get pretty busy during lunch and dinner rush.

A nice authentic Cantonese style dinner.

Ginger Scallion Lobsters 薑蔥龍蝦 – we always order the two lobster special for around $21, not bad for its value.

My must go restaurant everytime I am in Chicago.

This is one of the restaurant in Chicago I wanted to try for a long time. Came here on a weekend with my family with reservation. Lucky we had reservation, the wait was pretty long and big crowds.

The menu was very extensive. We opted for few items to share.

Salumeria Tasting – a great way to try out a bit of everything. I forgot the types of meat we have, but it was very enjoyable. The portion was very big, we couldn’t finish it.

Gnocchi – love house made pasta! soft pillowy potato dumplings with arugula pesto sauce.

Braised Pork Shank – cooked in red wine, so tender, falls of the bone.

Love this place. Do recommend getting reservation.

Wonderful afternoon tea at The Lobby, we were seated right away as we had reservation. The place was very grand and live band was classy, service was top notch.

The Lobby (The Peninsula Hotel, Chicago)

The afternoon tea was the most beautiful experience.

Traditional English Afternoon Tea – the scone was great, warm and crumbly, loved it with lemon curd and strawberry jam. Everything was beautifully presented.

Definitely worth the experience.

Visited this place when I was visiting my mom few months ago … it was overrated. The wait was kind of long, but it was Saturday. Don’t expect any service here.

Food was very mediocre, especially for the price point.

The only thing worth to order was the Roasted Pork – the skin was very crispy.

One of the busiest restaurant in Chicago Chinatown. Their popular for their bubble tea and smoothie, you literally see everyone holding one of their drink around Chinatown. The menu is huge, but food is so-so, very slappy.

We ordered couple smoothies. Real Fruits – no bad.

Tofu Fish Cake – can’t go wrong with fried food. Very hot from fryer.

Eel and Beef Cube over Tomato Rice – the presentation was impressive, served in a little bucket. Eel serving was a bit small, beef was good. Rice was a bit greasy.

Stir fry Fish and Squid – so-so, so much onion!

Overall, no impression about the food. Go get a drink is okay.
